ATMos card |
||
The ATMos card is a crucial part of the ORL modular approach to ATM networking. It is a Eurocard-sized board which consists of an ARM 610 processor, 8Mb of RAM, and a TAXI chip driving coax cable at 100Mbit/second. The card also has a bus to which a range of different modules can be attached. The card derives its name ATMos from the simple lightweight multitasking operating system which it runs. Thus the ATM network interface and programming environment for each module is standard. |
